is collecting new, unused socks and sleeping bags for adults and children,

which will be distributed to those fleeing to safety from Ukraine

Heather Gottfried (1970-2021)

Heather was born in Miami, Florida. She was a graduate of Havre High School in Havre, MT and earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Montana State University - Northern. Heather is survived by her daughter Aspen and numerous friends in Montana and Illinois. Heather was a personal wealth manager at Citibank Financial Corporation. Heather loved to travel to many unique places on vacation with her daughter. Heather was past president of the Naperville Rotary After Dark Club, active in the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce, Inside Out Club, and numerous other charitable organizations. Heather will always be remembered for her can do attitude and the fun and fellowship she brought to everything she did.

5th Annual Backpack Drive a Huge Success!

Thank you for all the donations to our Annual Backpack Drive! Your generosity allowed us to provide over 160 backpacks for kids at Hesed House. In the last fifteen years the annual drive has provided over 1800 backpacks and 10,00 pounds of school supplies to help kids start the school year right.

Thanks to RAD members, Caroline Morrison for leading the project , and Linda & Ashley Wilhelm who were able to get us a great deal on the backpacks.

2021-22 Installation
Installation of 2021-22 President Diane Ferris,
Officers and Board of Directors

President Kristy Sullivan presented honors to Rotarians and guests who made this an awesome year for RAD. Kristy thanked her husband Jeff Sullivan for all of his support. Heather Gottfried was recognized for her Leadership and Guidance as Past President. Tim Peterson received a Four Way Test award. Ashley Wilhelm and Christine Bloom were given Above & Beyond awards. Linda Wilhelm was awarded a Believe There is Good in the World honor. Lisa Pinto received a Service Above Self award. Guests Brad McGuire and Eric DeSimone, DQS US and Jennifer DeSimone, Huck Bouma PC were recognized for their service as club partners. Rotarian of the Year honors went to Mary Morrissey who served as Membership Chair and championed the club's Adopt a Grandparent projects that helped so many local seniors. Many thanks go out to this past year's Board and to all our members who made this extraordinary year a success.

The club welcomed Past District Governor and 2022-24 Rotary International Director Nominee Pat Merryweather Arges who gave the oath of office to incoming President Diane Ferris and Board members. We look forward to the coming year and serving others through our club.

Fredenhagen Park

The Club adopted Fredenhagen Park

and is committed to enhancing

this beautiful community resource.

The park, named for Walter and Grace Fredenhagen,

is located on Washington Street at the Dupage River,

the site of the Cock Robin ice cream store.

It is the gateway to the east extension of the Naperville Riverwalk.

Balloon Buddies 2020

Rotary Club of Naperville After Dark
along with Huck Bouma PC participated recently in the National Campaign 
We would like to thank Michelle from Awesome Balloons Creations for creating these darling Balloon Buddies for the residents of Independence Village in Naperville.
With the support of donations from Michelle Tibble herself, Huck Bouma, and Naperville Rotary After Dark, we were able to provide a balloon buddy for each of the 48 residents. Nothing but joy and kindness was spread from the delivery of the buddies for all the residents, Huck Bouma Staff, and members of Naperville Rotary After Dark


Special thanks to the Rotary Club of Naperville After Dark, Huck Bouma PC and DQS US for providing holiday cards, candy and poinsettias to the over 1,000 nursing home and assisted living residents who have been on lockdown for almost 9 months now with no regular visitation in the home from family, friends, volunteers, chaplains.

Thank you for your selfless service comforting so many people in need.

Saturday, October 24 Rotary After Dark members gathered to pull weeds in the flower beds and dig up invasive shrubs at Fredenhagen Park. The park, named for Walter and Grace Fredenhagen, is located on Washington Street at the Dupage River, the site of the Cock Robin ice cream store. It is the gateway to the east extension of the Riverwalk.
